Diet and Weight-loss update.

Week 4 of my lifestyle change has gone pretty well. Started jogging 3-5 miles a day (well that word between jog and saunter), and taking food as medicine…only as needed to perform optimally. I hate cardio, but figure it’s probably what I need the most. Also making adequate sleep a priority. Detoxing hurts, I haven’t started juicing again, but maybe I’ll get to that today. The thought of juicing vegetables repulses me right now, and I’m still hooked on my 3 cups of coffee a day. My water intake has increased considerably. Chimpanzee-like behavior exhibited due to increased vitality.

I also got really lazy with updating my Weight Watcher’s points using the etools. I caught up with my activity for the weekend, but forgot a lot of what I ate. Also think I’m going to change branch meetings. The lady leading the group is nice enough, but the old ladies doing check-in are not so friendly.

What can we help you find?

All the calories you eat count toward your weight gain.

Causes have consequences called effects, so no being alive can make their own rules. Wish, hope and dream all you want, nobody lives in a bubble at the bottom of the sea. We all live in the same world governed by the same universal laws…so watch what you put into your body.

Balance Ball as a Chair, Sip water to help with a bad back.

Moving is half of my problem. Usually by the end of 15 hour work day, (I was addicted to trading Forex, and a workaholic and a caregiver for an elderly parent) I am just too tired, ready for nothing but bed. To top it all off, besides the obscene weight gain, gray hairs etc…I had a bad back from sitting all day. Here is one tips I learned from my fencing instructor. Use a balance ball as your chair. This one on sale at Amazon.com is actually made for that purpose.

It makes sense. He explained that the little muscles in your pelvis are deprived of blood flow and nourishment if you sit too long. That makes the muscles atrophy from lack of movement. He said the movement of the balance ball keeps your body moving and flexible. My dance instructor said the same thing. In fact she said it burns up to an extra 350 calories in an 8 hour day!

Also, water is helpful to a bad back because it supports your skeletal system. So I sip water all day long.

Little tips to help you attain weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.

My Weightloss Journey

On April 14, 2012. At the age of 41, 5’8″ and 237 pounds. I decided to join Weight Watchers. I spent the past 18 months sitting at my desk, a baby stock and Forex trader.
I’m also a part-time actor, turned down for a part in a big Scorsese film because my weight was out of control. But it wasn’t until I saw my pictures at a family black-tie event did it finally dawn on me. I couldn’t recognize my own face. Added to this, was the fact I was starting to feel lethargic, anxious and my joints were hurting from my sedentary lifestyle. So I’m now getting healthier, watching what I eat and always searching for the latest diet and exercise news and information. I will share my experiences with Weight Watchers, as well as my journey to becoming healthier and happier, as well as my return to acting.
